89 K5 Blazer
350
sm465
np241
10 bolt 8.5 ring front and rear
4" rough country lift
33x12.5x15 bf all-terra
runs and drives 4x4 works also

Good deal?

if it runs and drives, hell ya. plus its 4 spd, tbi and a 241 case. and its pretty straight. prices are dropping on our rigs. i'd say go for it for that price

4 speed 241 and fuel injected for a grand, it looks pretty solid too.

I would buy it

If it's as solid as it appears. Hell yes. Double check under the rockers and stuff. Check for molestation.

Edit: What part of the state you from?

45 min north of minneapolis (East Bethel/St. Francis area)

yep rockers and floor plans are solid. The interior could be freshened up though. It looks like I'm gettin a new toy!!!:D

I say go ahead and buy it. My first suggestion after buying it would have been to remove the cab visor but then I noticed you're in Minnesota so I won't suggest that.

Is that visor for snow deflection? If not ditch that b-ache. For a grand snap it up and wheel it's ass off.

I'd say the same thing about the visor but in Minnesota, Iowa, and Pennsylvania there is an "unwritten law" of sorts that every truck in those states has to have a cab visor on them. So if he wants to fit in, he will keep the visor.

Hmmm I dont think there is a unwritten law on cab visors. Typically most trucks dont have them. It's more personal prefrence actually.

Well if I pull the visor off how do I reseal the holes from the mounting points? Bondo?

There's many different ways to fill in the holes. Might want to ask that question in the body restoration forum on here. Reason why I say that thing about the unwritten law is because I couldn't help but notice the amount of trucks with cab visors on them when I was in the three states I mentioned earlier.

In MI... in the shape that it looks to be in... you would get $1000 without the motor and trans in it!!

Is this rig parked in front of your house yet? :P

It's in the garage up on jacks doing a once over on the drive train, brakes & fluids. I'm also stuck replacing at least 2 tires before I can actually drive it. One of the tires lost air in the driveway, the air was coming out of the valve stem (atleast I thought it was) I thought at the time no problem easy fix pull another stem and I'll be off. Well the tire actually had a tube installed due to the amount of patches and repair done by the PO the local tire places won't even touch it. Which I'm happy no one was hurt and I didn't have a blowout while driving the truck home (about hour long drive).

Since I've had time to look at the body closer the PO did a hack job for patch work on the floor boards. So come this spring/summer it will be a oversized game of operation.

tdlr: Radial tire + tube = Bad mojo and Beauty is only skin deep

still not bad for $1000
Even here in CA where prices seem to have dropped the most, it's still a good deal.

Yep the rule of thumb I've went by:

If it runs and the 4x4 drivetrain is functional its worth at less a $1000 is parts

Now I have till april before the tires will be fixed so I'm going through some odd projects on the truck.

Wow. Bet you want one of those POSMs right about now.

Still, you've got a mostly functional truck for a grand. Even if you throw another thousand or so at it, you'll still have a cool, fun rig on the cheap.
