Changing the tires on my 87 jimmy, Im swaping out some 35" BFG mud tires for a set of 305/70/16 Procomp AT's im mounting them on new GM steel rims. Any need to balance these tires, The shop didn't attempt to balance my bfg's due to size and the said the same thing with the pro comps (too big). The mud tires rode fine just too much tire noise.

Totally balanceable.

Try doing it yourself with balancing beads or similar. I don't even pay to balance my tires anymore.

If the shop thinks 33's and 35's are too big to balance...get a new shop.

thay are lazy and not worth your time or giving them your money. most all balencers for the last 5 - 10 years can do min 38-40 tire for max size.

mine i use at work both will do 40" tires. and if need be i have a old school bubble balencer for big stuff.
