i found a guy parting out a 88 K5 I want to get the driver side seat belt bolted to floor in rear, gauge cluster, thinking about window motor if I can test it few other small small parts. I asked him what he wanted and got what do you think it is worth. Beats me and I don't want to hurt his feeling with a low offer. So what should I offer?

Also has a 88 1500 my buddy needs all seat belts and gauge cluster. What should he offer?

What are the small parts? I'd say offer him $40, assuming the "small parts" you want aren't hard to find. I don't think the early clusters are worth more than $20 or so (unless they have a tach, which that one should not) the belt piece maybe $5-10. Window motor about the same, a used motor is going to last how long? lol The more you buy, and thus the more you offer, seems to me the more likely someone is to take your offer...they are parting it to get rid of it, the more that is gone at one time, the better.

I assume that is the rear tailgate motor, if so, you might want to consider taking the side cables, the window drive cable and lock mechanism (with key) since you will be into it, if you like having spares as I do. Perhaps even offer to take the whole tailgate and just pull what you want off when you have time.

Can't help on the 1500.
