would need new longer shocks for 2\" lift?

could i do a 2" lift and still get away with using regualar length shocks?

Re: would need new longer shocks for 2\" lift?

You can use the stock shocks, but it's better to get longer ones. Order the 2" kit and you'll get shocks with it.

Depends...I know Rancho's PN's are for stock, and then the next step up is 2.5"-4"...so you can, just make sure they are not the limiting factor in the suspension or you will get to replace shock mounts too.

Re: would need new longer shocks for 2\" lift?

Oh, by the way i just happen to have 2 RS9000's that would fit quite nicely on the front of a K5 lifted abotu 2"...so to answer your question, yes you do need new shocks, right now... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Re: would need new longer shocks for 2\" lift?

yes they are...forget the rancho pn, but they are 14" long compressed and 22" extended, fit on the front for a 2.5" - 4" lift, used them for amybe a month, then took off for a smoother ride

Re: would need new longer shocks for 2\" lift?

Are they stiff shocks? I'm in need of some soft shocks for my stiff lift. I was wondering since they had the adjustability if they were soft.

Re: would need new longer shocks for 2\" lift?

The ycan be soft or stiff...setting 1 is really soft, 2 a little harder, 3 is just like rS5000's, 4 stiff - good for towing - and 5 is really stiff
