I recently had my axel sandblasted so I can paint it. Well, the whole thing got sandblasted inside and out and I have grit all in my housing, carrier, gears...everywhere. I stripped it down and used a small pressure washer to clean it out but it is still gritty. Would it be a good idea to have it hot tanked? Any other good Ideas?

Last time that I asked a machine shop if they could hot tank an axel they said no because the hot tank was not big enough for an axel.

If no machine shop has a hot tank big enough (call around), use the pressure washer a few more times. Spray some Castrol Super Clean all over the innards and use brushes to scrub as best you can. I think PAW has a brush kit for engine blocks that could be used.
