Always thinking outside the box. Would this work on a 305/350cid motor..its too bad they didnt say what motor it came off of but Ill research it. I wonder how big a PITA this would be too hook up. lol

Apparently it came off of a 3.8l V6 ..hmm oh well.

I need to find the Pontiac 301cid turbo setup,,I believe it is blow thru design.

I have some parts of one of those setups laying around, I used to work on them quite a bit. That's not an edelbrock carb, its a Rochester. Not one of GM's better works.

Maybe I should get this.
Or maybe you buy my V6 :dunno:

Naw, you can have it..if I decide to do a turbo gas motor, im going with a blow thru type.

Would it work? Probably not as easily as you would like to think. Turbocharging a carb'd engine is pretty tricky. If you 're into doing that for real, pick up the book Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. You'll be amazed at what you learn.

Basically, on a 350 Chevy V8 you would probably want to do a twin turbo setup with a TBI and a custom computer controlled ECM. And you should run lower compression pistons to start.

I want Chris Chow's 355 twin.... sick....

not enough volume (turbo too small) and since nothing else is usable I'd say no go but it would be cool to put a 3.8 in there 300+ hp, gobs of torque and 20+ mpg, i got 25-26 in my grand national.:woot:

If I was still building my MGB with that 3.8 I would snatch it up.
We'll see if I get enough stuff sold in the next few weeks and it stil is there I might get it to complement my 3.8.
