Would you get this? (ats turbo 6.2)

I was out at the local junkyard today getting a pressure line for my power steering and I found a 82 c10 with a turbo 6.2, I am pretty sure it was an ats setup. I asked the owner and he said 300$ would you get it? It will definitely need some work, but I was planing on rebuilding a 6.2 next year anyway

$300 is a good price but know that your system will be different than a Banks or a GM set-up and parts may be difficult to find. I'd do some through Googling of keywords to find info on them.

It seems like a good system, but I will say I have not been able to find a replacement turbo yet, even running all sorts of searches based on the numbers on the turbo I have. I'll have to take it in and have it rebuilt...hopefully for a price i can live with. I paid $300 for my ATS set-up knowing the turbo was in somewhat rough shape.

Thanks guys, everything that I have read has been good about ats except finding replacement parts. I am pretty sure I will be getting it if it is still around by the time I get time and money to pull it. I am planing to be grabbing the engine with turbo and accessories, radiator and brake booster anything else important I should grab?

Hey Rene, PM me the numbers you have on your turbo, ive got a real good local source who literally has a warehouse filled with turbochargers, and i might be able to get you a replacement for CHEAP.
