from the ad:
1993 5.0L 4WD Chevy Step side, 159k miles
-Posi Rear (Geared low)
- 4 Speed manual
- new carpet
- new reupholstered seat
- Painted last year at Macco
- new head gasket
- clean title
- Was in Vegas 90% of it's life!
I've been looking around for a decent 'Burb for work stuff, so I've seen ads for a lot of early '90s pickups. I've been keeping an eye out for them, sort of on the side, in case I come across an extended cab short bed K1500 with a manual transmission (throw on a topper and it might work for me). I know that finding these things in good (not beat to piss) shape is hard, but does anyone think this is worth nearly 3 times the book value? It's in really nice condition and the guy probably has a few grand into the paint, carpet and seat, but...
Maybe it's just cheap bastard me, or maybe I'm out of touch with the value of those stepsides with twin hoop roll bars, but I just don't see it.
Sorry for another "high price on used stuff" rant. It's been one of those
Mondays.
