I picked up a set of one-tons recently, and the rig they were on was, well, interesting. It was a '91 Burb, set up to be a mad-max style camper, but definitely assembled by a tweeker. I had some good bits, like a Cummins, etc., but the entire execution was poor.
Anyway...look at the attached pics at the homespun "lift blocks/shock mounts" on the 14-Bolt. Its about a 3" lift.
Would you run this on your rig?
Look close!

If you have to ask…answer is no. Definitely seen much worse, but would def cut them off and set new ones and know its done right. Not worth the risk

Anything that you put up with or allow on your rig makes a statement about you and workmanship to other 4x4 enthusiasts - it’s like spandex for fat chicks; just because they fit don’t make it right…

What we have on our rides ain’t gotta always be top dollar perfect but there is a minimum quality that must be met and that stuff is closer to what’s acceptable out where Deliverance was filmed - and ya know what kind of standards those fellas had…

You are completely correct.

These mounts are getting cut off, as I have the Ruff Stuff perches on the way.
While the spring pin mounting holes measure to the correct 42.5" between themselves, both perches are shifted 1/4" to the drivers side. And if you look closely at the pics, both perches are actually not square on the axle tube.
