WOW...beefy..

I was just watching that.

The only thing I don't like is the unit bearing. I'll admit that I am biased though. I have seen many of the stock dodge and ford units fail. No idea on how these would last though.

Although they would hold the bigger joints, I don't see where they belong on a fullsize rig. Primarily designed for rock buggies in the sub 4000 lb range, and around 39's. The unit bearings won't hold up.

The chromoly cv joints on the show are around ~ $1800 a pair and I believe they would fit in the stock or dedenbear inner/outer c's. I doubt the 1550's would fit in stock c's though. Dunno how much the 1550's would cost either.

To me, it's a waste of money unless you are building a comp rig.

I didn't see the show, are they Sunray Engineering Knuckles? Or?

I know that sunray has some that will fit a 1610 or 1650:dunno: series u-joint. Wouldn't it be nice.:D I can't even afford Dedenbear C's and knuckles right now.:haha:

X2 unit bearings suck for big tires. they are non serviceable so if they go bad you have to replace the entire thing.

that setup is for buggies that compete. a pair of Longfield CV shafts are much cooler.

The stronger C's and knuckles are cool but useless with the unit bearing setup. And did you see the brakes they were running. They have more wrapped up in brakes then I have in my entire 60.

yeah i know it was just something i was drooling over....i dont really know much about the longfield cvs so i was drooling over the sheer size of a 1550...

Ian is on Pirate and he said he has as much in the 1550s as he would have in a set of longfield CVs. He chose the 1550s because the longfields are not recommended for highway use:rolleyes: .

I like the knuckle and C design and the only real advantage I see over deadenbear knuckles and Cs is the bearing vice a kingpin and they are not cast. The unit bearing brings the ghey though:rolleyes: .
