WOW, what a diff \"stock\" wheels can make

Well, the wheels that were on the SAV when I bought it where very dingy and the caps were dented and rusty and overall looked like poo-poo, and the tires had those ugly block white lettering that I hate so I picked up some 2003 takeoff alum wheels and had the tires mounted blackwall out, what a difference, almost looks like a *new* Suburban from the side and really updated the look, never thought I would get this excited about stock wheels. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Got them from Performance Wheel and Tire here in town, they have at least 30 sets or so, I was able to pick out the nicest ones, all four with caps and lugs 300.00, was cheaper than ebay where I would have had to paid for shipping. /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

Same wheels I have on my 2500 HD. Looks great. I love the looks of mine and have no intention of "upgrading"....

Right now I have 265x75, I wonder if I can get away with 285? What size are you running?

the tires get close to the plastic trim under the bumper but that's it. no rubbing at all. i have yet to load the truck with 4 passengers to see if it rubs though, but with my heavy self, my wife and kid it hasn't.

i'll try to get a side picture in a while...

What size are the rims? I like those wheels too and was thinking about a set for my Burb. Mine is an 87 so I'm not sure if they will work or not.

The 285's will fit, but 305's will fit if you trim the front of the fender behind the bumper. /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif You can see the line in the picture, right where the front flare ends to clear the bumper.

Goodyear makes a nice AT/S in the 305. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

You have to cut it sometime. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif
