What a difference a 1500 watt amp, pushing two 15" Kickers running at 1 ohm each sounds!!!

had been running them for the past year and a half with 100 watts each @ 4ohms,,,,sheesh, wished i had gotten this amp earlier.

that is all,,,just googling and letting my heartbeat settle back down to normal pulsing :D

It all depends on the amp and speakers. So many cheap amps claim big numers like 2000watts, when in reality they don't do anywhere near that. My MMATS D200ch does 350watts at 4 ohm, 700watts at 2 ohm, and 1400watts at 1 ohm. (These are all RMS not peak) Some amps are not stable at 2 ohm and deffently not at 1 ohm. My sub (Kicker L7 12" ) is DVC <Dual voice coi>l, and each voice coil is 2 ohm. So it can be wired at either 4 ohm or 1 ohm with my mono-block amp. My sub is rated for 750watts RMS, but the gain on my amp is set at about 1/3, and I'm not into playing it at max volume anyways. I hope that helps you understand the ohm thing better.
