I learned something and i had to share it with everyone.i went to look at a 84' k5.this guy was outragous on his price.it wasnt to rusty,it had a plow decent interior and you could see that the frame was painted with undercoating,i cant remeber the milage, and lots of dents, but he wanted $4500:doah:

I cant belive some people think that there truck are worth that it is a $2000 truck max.

Several years ago, late '80s I think, guy up the road from us put his '76 Bronco up for sale. I stopped to take a look. Not a floorboard in the thing, rusted, gone, had an old realestate sign rivited in place for the driver. The trans was locked up and it was sitting on rims.

When I asked what he wanted for it he said "5". I said ok...I'll take it.... let me run to the bank.....Came back with 5....$100 bills...he laughed and said no $5k. His son gave it to a friend of mine when the owner died....said I was better off, it cost him to get rid of it.

Its Outragious what people think there P.O.S Vehicals are worth.
I supposed one day they will get somebody to pay what they want.:doah:

Welcome to the land of snow and salt.

People seem to think that because it isn't a complete goner from the rust that it's automatically at least worth what kbb or edmunds calls "excellent".
That does seem to be changing though as fuel prices go up. Now that everyone's mud truck, show truck, play truck, sand dune truck, wife's truck, whatever, etc etc etc is on the market just because your truck has nice paint and/or little rust doesn't make it worth twice what it was worth new.

There's a guy by my parents selling a fullsize '90 Bronco from Texas. 1xx,xxx miles, faded/cracked/blistered paint, looks like it needs some TLC, been sitting there for at least two years now (he does move it inside during the winter), and he wants...
...$3500 for it last time I saw it. Was at $6000 when I first saw it in '05. I'm sorry, I expect the truck to be in EXCELLENT shape for 6k. I figure he'll sell it soon enough if the price keeps dropping.
