Has anyone fitted the DIY4X wraptor/backbone system to a first gen? I'm just trying to see how difficult this would be, and if it's out of my "level of comfort"

if you have, please let me know what modifications were necessary and if you have any pictures that'd be great too. thanks

I just got done putting one on my 72. It looks great to me. I have 64" springs in the rear and was able to get the traction bar above the driveshaft to the front spring mounts. I have not tested it yet but can try to get some pics. I had diy make boxes for my frame and made my crossmember bolt in so it is easy to remove. I did this to get the shackle up high to clear the driveshaft.

That is exactly what I was hoping to hear. If you don't mind me asking, how much did it all come out to?

Well I think is was about what his wedsite shows for price. I ordered a flip and switch and some other stuff so I am not sure off hand. He just deducts the price for the parts you don't get and subs the stuff you want. Great service!!

Yeah, I've heard nothing but good things. I guess i'll just shoot him a call when the time comes. Let me know when you go to test it out. And if you snap any pics, post em here!

I ran the bar on top of the shackle to get a little more separation of the bars. Does not seem to affect flex at all so far.

Have not done much with it yet. I have flexed it out and it works good. I have 64's in the back so it had bad axle wrap before. I had to put new springs on at the same time I did this wrap bar. It had bent the old springs at the front hanger.
