wrong torque converter for wheelin?

ok, so i inspected the vac modulator again and all was well, so i moved onto the governor.

i dont know what to look for as far as mods, but the gear on it is damaged. as far as damaged enough to make it upshift so high in rpm band i couldn't say..

so what now? what am i looking for to determine the extent of damage or modifications?

Post a pic of your governor. If the gear is stripped it will not upshift properly. Go buy a new governor and i'll bet it cures your problem.

its striped on 4 of the spurs, im not sure how bad is too bad. but god do i hope this is my problem!

That will stop it from shifting.
