I need a pair of 1 ton rear, upper shock mounts for a 73 to 87 GM truck. This is the mount that is riveted to the frame.

Let me know what you want for the mounts and your time to remove them (it's not a fast job). I'm in Oakland CA 94605. I could probably set you up with a Fed Ex shipping label and pick up if you send weight and dimensions.

Paypal

Thanks,

Yep, that will work fine! Thanks for the clarification ... it's been a while for me.

Yeah I need a set of these also. In line for any extra.

This isn't the right place to ask this but what the heck. I have not been around for 13 years (2 kids, the eldest is 13). I jumped on Pirate 4x4 the other day, what happened over there? I talked to someone who mentioned it migrated to Irate 4x4. Over to that site I went and it was almost just as dead. I came over hear with my fingers crossed, happy to find it's still as it was 13 years ago.

How does a site as big and popular as Pirate drop to what looks like a handful of visitors a day?

Anyone got a link with the story behind that one?

no link but after it sold to the Canadians it went downhill; then with the advent of social media platforms a lot of the old forums have been dieing off or at least not getting as much traffic as they used to.

You mean platforms like Facebook, TicToc and Instagram are replacing forums like these?

All but this one.
Yes we had a little slow down a few years ago and then it picked back up.
I was out a few years in the early years of kids.
My oldest is 15

Isam!! How are you? Long time. How many kids do you have now?

The whole idea of a forum like this or Pirate being shadowed by Facebook or TicToc really says a lot about the young generation of 4 wheelers. All I see on those platforms are videos of wild and crazy things being done with trucks.

Back when I was posting, it was to track down a part, get feedback on a build, help troubleshooting a problem or just learning about your hobby. I learned so much on CK5.
I guess that's no longer what owning a truck is about for many.

It's still the same here mostly and there's still a few in the new generation that are doing the same, some here as well.
We are not the biggest demographic in our generation either so nothing really changed.

Oh yeah, I don't frequent this site like I used to. FB took over. Way more views and broader spectrum of groups to buy and sell thru. I pretty much come here for the classifieds, that's all.

Where do you go on Facebook? Maybe I need to check it out.
I thought Facebook was all about Moms posting way to many pictures of their kids. Maybe that just my wife :)

Yep, interested. What do you want for them?
If you box up, measure and weigh, I think I can schedule a pick up with Fed Ex if that makes it easier.

Thanks,

Eric

Can throw them in a flat rate box and send. What are they worth? Will take a bit to get off.
Will try and get them off this weekend.

Hmmmm, $50 for your time (yeah, it's gonna take some time), $20 for the brackets plus what ever flat rate shipping is.

So, $80 - $90?

What do you think?
