Jessie James
1/2 ton status
I found a truck, thanks to everyone who kept an eye out.
--------------
I am posting this in hopes some of you can help me find a nice clean K5. I am looking for:
> 1990 or 1991 K5 with the "euro" style headlights
> Solid white is my first choice, although I might entertain other colors. No solid black trucks, unless it's something insanely nice, like < 50k miles or fully restored.
> Gray or tan interior. I do not want blue or red.
> Less than 100k miles
> No rust
> All stock preferred, unless it's simple mods like a new stereo or a dual exhaust.
> Street used, so not lifted, frequent off-road use, no oversized tires, crazy rims, cut fenders, etc.
> Tinted rear windows, and/or sliding rear windows would be a plus.
> Location not important as I can ship it here if needed, but it should be in the US!
> Not torn apart or missing stuff like carpet, bumpers, etc.
It has to be in near perfect shape, because I really don't want to do a ton of work or replace a ton of things. I would prefer something that has either had a single owner, or where the owner has owned it for several years and done the maintenance on it and has documentation of the work.
My price range is up to $7k or more for the right truck.
If you find me this truck and help me secure the sale, I'll give you $250.
The stipulation is that this should be a vehicle that I cannot find myself. So if it's on Craigslist, eBay (especially), AutoTrader, Cars.com, AOL, LemonFree, etc., that doesn't help me. I scour these sites daily. I would expect you to help me find a truck that perhaps a friend has but has not listed, something parked in a storage lot, one at your local dealership, or some other "off the radar" situation.
However, I'm not going to be a big jerk. If you find some killer deal on AutoTrader and let me know ASAP, I'm fine with that so long as I can get in there first.
----------
Why am I posting this? I found a truck on AutoTrader - a 1991 Blazer with 42k miles for $6k. It was practically brand new! Unfortunately, I missed out by a bit and someone else bought it. If you can help me get in first, you're golden!
