Section says Tires and Wheels. Says nothing specific about For Sale or Wanted. Seemed more appropriate than Parts and Trucks Wanted. Tires are tires, not parts, and certainly not trucks.

It's quite common to post a thread as WTB in the category of the wanted part. Look around, as there are more of them.
BTW, nothing in the rules about it either.
The respectful thing to do would be to delete your posts that unduly criticized FMS in his sale thread.

but there is a parts wanted section. tires are parts !
the rest is sale items. stuff for sale.
this is the way its been for a long time around here.
he!! go scan threw the treads and ya mabye 1 or 2 skip by now and then.
but when i read the stuff i go by the title of the catagory.
you do what you want and live with it.

Frankly i could care less, the most important thing to me is it wasn't posted in the Garage.
Both of you make a good point though, but the bottom line is it did get posted in the classifieds area like it should have been. I'd lean to the original poster being slightly more correct as he's gonna likely get the demographic he is looking for reading his ad.
As a precedent, there are often diesel related for sale/wanted ads posted in the Diesel forum...same goes with the first gen forum, regional, etc etc.
To re-iterate, the most important thing is it didn't get posted in the Garage.
