Going to put the wifes 90 V2500 Burb back together.
Would like to delete the Th475 in favor of a 4L80E
and re use the stock NP241c. I have a complete
harness and ecm from a 91 R2500 burb so i have that
covered so i think all i need is a cheap working 4L80E
and the matching NP241c adapter to make it work.

Have to poor boy this...no job...loosing house...trucks
etc....so i do have stuff to trade and i am willing to drive
a few states over to pick it up as well.

Thanx guys.

what about a working something out on a little shipping? i have a 4L80e(was running when pulled and replaced w/ sm465) and possibly the adapter you need, would you swap tranny's? what adapter is on the th475?

The TH475 has the NP241 adapter on it as it was in the wifes 90 V2500 burb.
I'd like to retain the NP241 as i already have it and it was gone thru in late 2005.
The TH475 was rebuilt shortly before we parked the burb as the wife bought an
07 burb. I have to resurect the 90 V2500 due to job loss.

Not much help other than saying the trans that came stock in a burb would have been a TH400 not a TH475 as those were only used in motorhomes and larger trucks and have straight cut gears, more clutches and better planetaries (unless of course you swapped it in when you had it built).

I am very aware of what a TH475 came out of as per application and what makes it a TH475. A friend in phx provided said trans years ago when we bought the burb as the TH400 was trash inside...

hmmm, my 4L80e came out of a 91 2500 burb, had the passenger side drop 241, we took it out and bolted an 84 model 465 from a 208 case and it bolted back together fine, was 91 the 1st yr of the 4L80e? i had bought a good used 1/4L80e, but got told the 208 & 241 would inner change so in went the 465, as i mentioned i sold the good 1 i had, i have another 4L80e but it needs a rebuild, if you never find a good 1.
