I just bought an '82 Chevrolet K30 with a 6.2 liter diesel. Previous owner said the engine was "blown". I'd like to simply pull it out and stick another one in. I'm wondering if anyone maybe has a CUCV that they bought for the axles that might want to part with the 6.2? I'm located in Atlanta, GA, but travel the southeast pretty regularly.

Let me know whatcha got?

I've got a M1008 with a recently replaced engine that I'm considering parting out. I talked to the guy at the motor pool that it came out of and he said it was his personal ride. He said the engine was replaced with a crate engine 2 years ago with little use since then. It is CLEAN and runs great. If I can get $600 for the complete engine minus accessories I will part the truck out and keep the axles. This engine is clean and has ZERO blow by. Let me know.

I'm in central Alabama (just above Montgomery). You can hear it run and drive it before you buy if you like.

I've got one too, that will be going. Previous owner told me that it ran great when tranny went south, but I haven't gotten it to turn over yet. He says it sat two years, and I've only had it a couple of weeks and have been too busy to mess with it. That's a project for this weekend. I'll let you know what I figure out.
