As the title says, I'm looking for a good 6 lug front 10 bolt (8.5 ring gear) or Dana 44 with 3.73 gears. I've got a 14 BSF w/ disk brakes ready to go in the truck, but need to match the front. I'm trying to keep this on a budget, so I'm thinking just swapping in a 3.73 front will be the cheapest way. Let me know if you can help me out. Thanks for looking!!

I've got D44 with 3.73s, but shipping would be a little much. Good luck with the search.
 
LOL yeah, I've got a 10bolt with 3.73 complete hub to hub with warn premiums. But I'm in Oregon.
 
Thanks folks. I seem to be finding them everywhere except around Northern Louisiana. Such is my luck. I can't even find one in any junk yards around around here. I've only found 1 and they want over $400 for it. If I find myself in either Oregon or Vermont in the next few weeks or so I'll let you guys know (I'm in the military, so who knows where i might get send in the next few weeks). Thanks again!!!

im a tad bit closer, south central texas. ive got a whole d44 center section with 373s.
 
Your still a little ways away, but definitely getting closer. I've got some friends stationed down in San Antonio, so if all else fails, I might be able to ask them for a favor and see if they can get it for me then we'll work out how I can get it from them. I'll keep you posted.

Found a few on car-parts.com, but they all want over $300 for one. The search continues...
 
I have one 1973 dana44 in east tn..fresh off the road,complete front hub to hub..has manual hubs.flat knuckles,.3.73 gears..$150 for the whole thing..pick up here..I am 1 hour east of knoxville tn I will post pics tonight

I'd really like to pick that up, that's everything I'm looking for, but I'm over 12 hrs away. Sorry but I don't think I can make the trip for it. Thanks for the offer.

No problem,i understand..long distance can be expensive these days..I can check on shipping it r+l carriers are very good and even better shipping prices. all i need is a zip for an est.
 
I was just about to buy everything for a gear swap and ended up stumbling across a 3.73 front 10 bolt here locally. Good times, good times!!

Now I just need to freshen everything up and put it under the truck. Thanks everybody.
