WTB K5 diesel under $2000

Just as the title says. I can handle some rust, engine repair and electrical gremlins. I am looking for a decent body and ok interior. Needs to be able to make a trip to Florida.

going to use this as a 'get outa debt' daily driver.

I know of one near seattle on craigslist for $1400 obo but it needs a broken starter bolt and bad lift pump repaired before it would make the drive. I haven't looked at it myself so I don't know if you will get away with an easy out and new bolt plus adding the starter brace... or if the block starter ear was damaged.

It is a clean rig and I could try to help out with inspection and picking you up at the airport if needed since I work about 5 minutes from SeaTac. I just don't have the time to do any repairs to it for you. I do however know of a few good mechanics and tow truck drivers.

Repair is no problem. I'm an ASE cert mechanic in the civilian world, and was a Navy Engineman (diesel mechanic) for the past 4 years. And am currently an Aviation electronics technician for the Navy. I could handle the repairs.

But flying to sea-tac....that would be a slight issue. esp if the truck isnt a solid driver! I may keep an eye on that one. In the next 2 months there is a very good chance that I will get stuck in WA, either Whidby, Bremerton, or Bangor.

Search for "k5 diesel" and "blazer diesel". That is all I am doing. Also, if you want to search more than one craigslist site at a time use www.craigshelper.com
