WTB:NP205 VSS Output Housing @ Tone Ring.

Allready have the 2 pulse speedo drive gear driven aftermarket unit. Going to delete the speedo cable all together and install a drac and run a 90 cluster. just need the parts to convert my current 205 to a gm vss unit.

i have heard its easyer to swap in 241 tcase tone ring and drill tap housing for the sensor. do a search in the garage i talked with a few about this in the past . but dont recall all the info.

Easiest way. I did it in Moab Motel 6 parking lot. I had a few professionals with me, though.

Ya..stephen mentioned that to me the other day...lol. So how's the new home in cold country? To bad...i'll be in denver tonight for another wonderful army reserve weekend. So are you still going to make the yearly trek to moab or is it out of reach?

You can get the tone ring at the stealership. I got one for $30 or so. AFA the housing, good luck, only made 1 year in crew's and heavy subs. What was that about tapping the housing for a VSS?? If it's not too bad, may go that route instead of getting a 241.

just need to install ring on shaft and then find center in the housing and drill / tap to put sensor in it. then bam its done.

It's not too bad out here. Feels a little colder for sure, but I've adapted. I think I will be able to make it out again. I am shooting for BB '06, but we'll see how the funds look then. Have fun in Denver!
