i know they suck but does any one have slip-on mirror extenders? like they have in lmc. to fit 73-87(91) standard mirrors. i just cant drill more holes in my new doors for 3-4 point trailer mirrors. TIA

The standard mirrors on my '79 don't match the standard mirrors on my '86... You might want to be more specific with what kind of mirror you have. I had a set of these tucked away somewhere at one point though... not sure if I still have them after moving so many times in the last few years though.

I have a set....(which I will have to locate)
25.00 and the ride

used them once... now I have the longer style mirror instead...

these are the type that slip over your stock mirror and have a threaded hook to secure...

they stick out pretty far? sure you want them?

i need them to fit the type of mirrors in my avatar or like these\/

yes im sure i want them. i now have a Dually flatbed and i'm getting a 28" gooseneck trailer and i'd like to see the morons i'm cutting off :D

how far do they stick out? hopefully like 4-5" further.

CAMSK5: i can get new ones from LMC for $30+ride from KS can you do any better?? :deal: $15+ride?

thanks

Sure... Im not going to use them...

15.00 and the ride (which to you will probably be 10-12 bucks)

I have a set on my other 89 that you might be interested in knowing about... Ive not seen them anywhere else (this was a govt fire truck)...
slick idea
the mirror head is bolted to a piece of aluminum flat stock,,, theres a little bracket slotted to slide in and out...like 6 inches... the flat stock is bolted to the factory base ...the whole deal slides in and out and is tightened with a set knob wherever you want it... it uses all the stock mirror parts...
somebody is making this setup... it doesnt appear custom... Its WAY nicer than those plastic ones (I ended up not using them because I think they are mickey rat looking and the ones I describe above are seamless in use... out when you need them in when you dont and all bolted to the truck)... did I just talk myself out of a sale? :D

The factory ones on my 89 crewcab are longer than normal v/k mirrors and stick out about another 6 inches... thats another option...abet spendy
Ill try to shoot a pic for you of both setups... maybe with the pic someone will recognize the company that makes them
