Based on recent tractor/loader/backhoe purchase and activities of processing firewood, I am considering a more commercial rig, easier to load/unload.

Ideal...clean, low mile, original, unmolested truck with preferred criteria in order as follows:

135.5" WB
131.5" WB
159.5" WB

6.2 Diesel
454
350

SM465
TH400

Flatbed stake dump bed
Mason dump body
Flatbed dump
No body

85-91 Chassis
77-84 chassis

Based on that, perfect combo is clean original low mile 85-91 1 ton 4x4 with 4 speed, 6.2 Diesel, 135.5" WB, PTO driven Stake flatbed dump.

Would consider bartering my 83 K30 SRW pickup towards such rig. Yes, I have the money and would pay for the right truck. Any leads?

I have seen a nice cab chassis advertised in the Seattle Craigslist. They were asking a lot for it though with no bed.

I'd your interested, I will be passing by that one this weekend if you want me to take a look at it.

This is a decent match. What concens me about this one is the rear frame horns. If you look at the rear image and consider the ends of the frame, they look skewed to the mud flaps. They're not parallel to each other or the mud flaps. That makes me think that the rear frame section may be bent and truck has been severely overloaded. I also see in the craigslist listing that title is "salvage". That could be an input error.

I saw the salvage title note. I can stop on Friday to check it out closer and get high quality pics.

As an amateur photographer, I could explain that distortion as camera lens distortion from a wide angle lens combined with the angled lines of the back frame (they look like they are longer on the bottom flange than the top). Sounds like it is close enough to warrant a closer look. I will find out why they listed it as a salvaged title. PM me an email to send full size pics.

Yeah, at another glance, it could be the case that the ends of the rear frame rails have been cut at angles for dump clearance.

I have a 1981 Chevy Scottsdale K30 with the 84" cab to axle (long wheelbase), 454 4sp, tilt wheel, no other options, it has a new 12' flatbed with rear receiver. It is very clean with no rust. I bought it from the original owner and put a bed on it. It has just over 100k original miles. Paint is the light blue...oxidized.

Was going to list it for $4000.00 PM me if your interested.

Just missed this one in Issaqua Wa. 454 injected w/dual tanks. Looked clean in images. $6500 OBO. I'd pay that in a heart beat. Everything here in the N.E. is eaten up by salt!

Cool. Like seeing bone stock K30's with stock steelies and stock stance.

Probably not looking anymore. Just acquired 1987 GMC V3500. I know what it is and also figured out what it was from day one. Here is some pertinent information for you to ponder:
style V30903
VIN 8th digit "N"
some option codes
YE9
NL2
E63
GT5
G60
M20
R05
Z81

Bought it from same owner for nearly twenty years. New GM motor 7K ago. Oil undercoated every other year also for nearly twenty years. After inspecting for an hour or two, explained to prior owner things he did know about it's prior existence previous to those twenty years.
