Ok, I was walking to the bus stop becuase the blaze is still waiting for intake gaskets, and 4 steps out on the street i get hit by some fool in an old ass volvo! He was locking up the brakes and probably was doing about 5-10mph. I got up and started walking toward him about to lay the smack down, and he took off! I was like wtf. I ended up with a fat headache (from slamming my head on the street) and a busted up knee. I walked to the bus stop and waited for 10 minutes then walked back home. My mom flipped out and called the cops and made me file a report...

Basically i need pics of older volvos so i can tell what year it was. i doubt you guys got any but what the hell....

Believe it or not I've actually been hit by a cop car while I was in a cross walk, hard to swallow, but sadly true. About the liscence plate, you're usually not thinking about that at the time. How old of Volvo pictures do you need? get me in the ballpark and I can get them for you.

I would have sued that cop for everything hes got, although a cops word against a civilians word is like fighting fire with paper. Did you get any witnesses?

i ended up on the side of him when he took off and never got a good look at the plates... It looked like it might have been somewhere between 85 and 93 or something around there.

the cops last name was shulz im pretty sure. Do you know a bunch of rpd cops?

Judging by the context and your use of "old ass volvo" I was thinking 70's, old but not classic.

You can do a google image search for "76 volvo" or whatever year to find pictures to help narrow it down.
 
The only witness was some old lady who about rear-ended him when he stopped. Besides, this was the same cop who had given me a ticket that I took to court and lost. So I'm guessing the judge would have seen it as a revenge attempt rather than a legitimate claim. Funny how things work out...F'in hilarious. Anyways, back to your problem:

People are creatures of habit. I'm sure that if you hung out on that same corner around the same time you'd see him drive by again.
 
hey dirt sorry to hear about the miss hap. i lived in redding for 26 years just moved 2 years ago. did u see the driver? if it was a longer kid i would look at all the high school parking lots durin school. if it was a older guy like 30 40's i would say keep an eye ath the mall and near the fast food resturants. basically u will see it again if your lookin. i would prone more towards hill top area. as in most people are always in that area. also ask around for oyur frineds to keep and eye out for it. the town hasnt got that bigsome one will spot it. not to many older volves in town. can the cops even do anything about it if u dont know what the driver looks like?

.....I'm sure if he got his by THIS, he'd remember!....(and have more than just a headache!). Duude, hang on to that bad boy and unbolt those axles before he gets away!!!! :grin:

Basically i filed a report incase somebody saw it or i saw the guy again and ended up with some sort of injury but im all good except for a jacked up knee. It will heal in a couple weeks and then i will probably forget this even happened. Just PISSED me off.

You better get on it. Go and wait on the corner with your mom in the car. When he drives by, follow him, and get his numbers. At least you could get a few bucks from him.Enough to fix your blazer.

So the dude was going about 5-10mph, and you stepped out in front of him ?? Try looking both ways befor you steep off the curb next time. :deal:
