No, I think this is ok here. I WANT ONE though. I could run like 4 winches at the same time with that monster and still have enough to jump start someone and power the ball park.

I know of longtime members who let their paying membership expire at times and they were able to refrain from antics like this..............................

It's got a link to a pritty interesting mechanical piece. I think it's ok here. They comments responding to it make it more of a joke thread, but that's not his fault.

I apologize for posting this, but as soon I as get some extra money I will become a paid member once again, I used to be but my membership ran out. Anyways, I felt it would be OK to post it here seeing as it was an alternator and therefor "tech". I saw this and was amazed, I've been trying to figure out how I would mount one in my truck then I could power a microwave, fridge, coffeepot, TV, computer... not to mention like half the town. My truck would become a mini RV.
 
Beater you need to chill. Jester said he fully intends to become a member as soon as he can. If you can't tolerate others shortcomings, why don't you go live in a cave. Preferably well away from me.

$hit like this is the reason that I havn't renewed my membership here since it ran out a few months back... some people here are just plain dick's anyway you want to look at it. What the F makes you so special that you need to rag on this guy for posting up an interesting link? If you don't like his thread, don't read it... pretty simple. Maybe being a prick makes you special, so here is your whoopie-cookie for the day... good work.
 
Brings up a good point though. As a new member, I've also been wondering why it is such a big deal to post non tech here. It's hard to resist posting here because of the increased traffic. If you don't want to read a post, you skip it. Is there something I'm missing here?

Looking again 6 of the first 10 posts are probably out of place, why did this one garner such hostility?

Tolerance is the greatest expression of power.
