ok this is pissin me off bad.....my rear diff started leaking from the trip to frank raines....well i pulled it off cleaned it up resealed it and put it back on..well filled it back up with oil and drove back home...well i pull in the drive way...and go inside get all cleaned up and walk back out and then WTF!!!!!!!!!.....the leak is worse than it was before....now i have to redo it again...i am really pissed

Check the vent tube on the top of the differential. If it is plugged up, there will be pressure building up inside and the oil is going to "burst". In your case, its going to "burst" out the gasket seams. Just take the rubber hose off at the axle housing end and check it out. You could also check the plastic vent at the top of the hose up in the frame rails, too. Blow thru the rubber hose just to make sure there are no obstructions.

The wife's Cherokee had that problem - turned out to be the vent cap.

I'm so poor I can't even pay attention
