Tempting , but I love my girl too much to trade her . So you just want mileage ? Buy a 700r4 and np208 , or just drop the axle gearing a bit , I know where some 3.08 axles are for trade for 4.10 or better

It may be to late, but if you still have your rig just put the 700r4 (87or newer) and 208 in it. All you need is a new cross member which can still be purchased from the dealership, driveshaft change, and the setup for the lockup. Why give up a fully convertible ride for a half shell. The swap is not that bad. I did it in my 75.
