tho i always liked the shaft mounted rockers... ya could really spin up some rpm's with them....
Same here with the rockers shafts, very rigid.

Back in the points & condenser days, I also liked the up-front angled distributor; stand on the side, pop the cap, and look straight into it. Rear mounted distros stay drier for off-road use (which is great), but getting to them is a stretch, unless you have a skinny little Vette. With HEI, fortunately you rarely need to get to them.
