I ran into a little problem when I was removing the hub / lockout om my 10 bolt axle. Someone never rebuilt the hub, ect correctly and damaged a few part of the part like spindle retainer nut and the washer with the Key way! So I know the dana 44 and the Corp 10 bolt are close on size.

I've call the tech dept Stage 8 and they said it may work on the 10 bolt Spindal but the were unsure because they have not done any R&D on the Corp 10 bolt

So my question is are the Corp 10 bolt spindal and the Dana 44 the same size etc?

try GM, i got one of those rings because of the same reason and it was only like 6 bucks. and im sure a nut couldnt be much more.

What I'm doing is a complete rebuild the 10 bolt and to stregthen it up by using Yukon 30 spline front 4340 Chrome-Moly axle kit and ECTED I think! I haven't made up my mind between the ECTED or Lock Right. But this is a dd and a ww so using the Lock Right on the street in winter time might be alittle interesting and I've also think that it might be a waste of time to put any LS, or Locker into a 10 bolt.

You are correct in thinking the lock right will make snowy road driving interesting. Some times downright terrifying. Had one in a 14ff and it scared the s@#t out of me!

So you did the Ford spindle nut and it worked? You better up-date your original thread so others looking for answers know that the Ford nut works.
BTW, did you have to modify the tang to fit in spindle slot?

I did it and it was easy as pie. Used a dremel to clip the tiniest sliver off the tang and it slid right on.

I will definitely update the thread I was waiting to do it all at once with pics so it's not too brutal to read. Later tonight maybe?

So I'm stuck on what kind of traction device I should use here in Michigan on my DD Blazer and what Axle shafts I should use.
Are Warn stronger the Yukon

I've been quoted:

Yukon 28 spline front axle kit and 28 spline ECTED for $970.00 to my door

or

Warn 28 spline front axle kit, 28 spline Detroit True-Trac, G/G 28 spline Internal Kit, G/G Installation Kit Front,G/G Axle Bearing and seal Kit, and Front wheel Bearing Kit sent to my door $1200.00

And if I were to use a Lock-Right could I keep one of the hubs unlocked in winter to help keep the truck going straight on the express way if it icy out? Any input would help?

pretty good comparison shopping thread for the axles. Personally I don't think you can beat Alloy USA right now. Cost and warranty are darned competitive.

Just remember when your are reading others' opinions on breakage you've got to consider what rigs they're running and what kind of terrain they're on. IMO it's easier to compare, delivery time (Superiors), warranty, warranty down time, and cost.
