Are the OEM studs on a Ford HP60 the same as a GM 60? I need to know if I can re-use the studs for the x-over or if I need to order the GM ones for the ORD arm. Thanks.
You'll have to check that one out yourself, we don't have a housing here we can take apart. They need to be about 2 3/4" long and the shank dia needs to be .529 or so. The GM's have a larger shank than the threads.
OK, I'll tear it apart and measure, then report my findings back here. I have some new GM studs I'm putting on some Dedenbears for a customer that I can use for comparison.
Just checked yesterday and confirmed that the Ford Dana 60 OEM studs on the '78-79's that hold the steering arm on are dimensionally the same as the GM studs. Same length, same threads, same shoulder diameter.
