Got a good XJ steering shaft but it doesn't fit my older gear box. It's all cleaned up and in good shape.

$30 shipped or
$15 you-pick-it-up in CA, SF bay area.

I'll post a pic tonight. It's got the DD end on the column end and the small splined end for the box.

Here's the pics.

FYI: After taking these pictures, I can sort of feel a spot on one of the joints where it doesn't rotate as smooth as the rest of the joints. You can feel a slight change in how it feels.

Also, the xj is the one on the bottom of the first picture. :) The second picture is the DD end.

So it should fit the newer boxes? Can you describe the binding in the joints a little more. Put me next in line.

It's not really binding, but on the one joint nearest the steering box, if you rotate the joing along it's full travel of 180 degrees there's a spot where you feel the rotation is not as smooth. Maybe that counts as a bind, but I'd run it if it fit. I almost didn't even notice it until I was checking it over again after taking a picture.

I'll pass.. I just realized I have a free one parked outside my garage... :doah::haha:

I got one local guy who's PM came right before yours. He's supposed to come by today (Monday). If he passes, it's yours.
