well i know its been discused I did what little bit of searchin i could. and couldnt find anything.

So what are the advanteges?

and can you make em' work with a steering box for a 78'?

Thanks

Don't know about it working in your truck(I think the trucks had to be 80's or newer but I'm not positive), however.. it is an AWESOME and CHEAP upgrade. You can do it in about half an hour with an angle grinder and a torch. Need the torch to melt the plastic inside the XJ shaft.

If you can turn your wheel side to side without getting a response.. you will probably notice a difference. The rag joint is crap anyhow so you can't really lose.

The nice thing about the Churky parts is they are cheap and easy to find.. so many of the things out there.

I have a couple laying around if you need one. Wire wheeled, painted gloss black, and fully greased. Let me know.

Well the only one I have currently is bare metal because I havne't got around to painting it yet. I can do it real quick though.

Ehh paint, smaint, I can do that no problem..How are the joints and any mods to this particular shaft to get it to work..stock 88 column and 4wd box.

Read the link I posted a few posts up. It shows you step by step what to do. The joints are in great shape. I can grease them for ya if you want, I kinda cleaned a lot of the junk off of the joints with the wire wheel.

Basically all you have to do is remove the old shaft, cut a notch in the steering column splines and bolt it on.
