Any one swaped in a XJ steering shaft...way much stronger than the GM design.. here is what i read about the swap
had to file down the plastic bushing inside the XJ shaft to get it to collapse enough to install. Also had to grind the two sides flat on the shaft coming from the firewall. Probably the most solid upgrade for $10 and under.....after taking the stock GM rag joint off I saw it was dry rotted and starting to deteriorate.
