I am working with Carl at CORE to try to put on a short course race the weekend of Aug 29th. The will be more classes than Calhan and the course will be about 3/4 mile long. Land rush start, +/-3 laps per heat. Driver entry fee will be about $60.
I will need to do track setup for this to happen. Anyone got a loader I can borrow..?
I checked out the short course track out at CORE and it looks like it will be a blast! I talked with Carl and it looks like the race will be Sunday Aug 30th. The classes will be the XSCORR classes in addition to 2 buggy classes, an ATV class and a UTV class. The format will be 5 lap heat races and a 10 lap main for each class (subject to change).
The track has very easy jumps, nothing that will flip you on your lid. The track is at least 2 trucks wide in all places and wider in most. I would like to get a large turnout for this if possible, so if the jumps were the intimidating factor, you now have no excuse!
This will be a very spectator friendly event so bring your lawn chairs!
