Temp sensor came factory installed in it's current location, I'm attempting to mount my FPR to the left fuel rail, can I assume the sensor would pick up an accurate reading from either tapping ?

the front is the crossover and blend out to the t-stat .. so i see no reason why you cant swap sides .
Correct and is connected to the water pump tapping. I want to swap the sensor to the opposite side where you see the pipe plug, just to clarify...
