Threw out my the original bench seat in a mad rampage of tearing my truck apart. Been bummed ever since that I couldnt carry more than one passenger.
So a buddy at work sold me these for $100. Gunna mount them both on the same bracket so I can remove them together if I want. Put a tray in between them for people's things, and get lap belts for now. Whatchathink?

They are nice, but I believe it may be illegal to put in lap belts if it came with shoulder belts. Will you get caught? Probably not, but if you get in an accident and someone in those seats gets injured the insurance company will probably not cover you. Put those up front instead.

Personally, I would put in one of the 2002-2006 Suburban third row seats with integrated 3-point belts.

Otherwise, don't mind me. I've had my run-ins with insurance companies and learned the hard way, that's all. :)

I like 'em, but I think for me they appear to be sorta high for seeing out the back window. And I would too think of a seat belt solution.

I did the late model suburban rear bench in my 85 Blazer, it was very nice. But I altered the mount, and used the stock k5 bench mounts so it could still flip up, but it sat a bit high for my liking. But they were nice. I only did it so the kids would have shoulder belts.

Should be pretty easy to put the shoulder belts in, they attach to the top in a 90 don't they?

I like em. They look cool back there and the passenger will like me better than the stock seat back there

not sure what im going to do about seabelts right now. I made a bracket out of 1" square stock with some 1" angle iron notched to fit between the two square rails. i'll put up a picture later today. i just figured lap belts would be easy to attach to my bracket i've made or even the floor somewhere. a 5 point ussually requires a roll bar to attach to, yea?

anyways i had them in there upright positions and i drove around a bit, they didnt bother me in my rear view. although there were there, so i could see someone getting annoyed with them.

I definitely dig the 2+2 seating arrangement. Ive crammed 5 people in the back seat of my blazer, 3 on the seat, and one on each wheel well, and it was tight for the three in the bench seat. 2 buckets, especially for wheeling makes more sense in my head.

And I say that, even if I want a rear bench that flips over backwards for drive in theaters :woot:

amen to that! i never had that many people, as i dont have alot of friends, haha. i used to drive around with two rottweilers all the time though. i used to love that.
once i overheated with on of my dogs in the back with all the windows down/open. so a cop pulled up behind me to see why i was just sitting there, he walked in like a 30 foot radius around my truck to my window haha :D

i did make the seats easy enough to yank out. 6 grade 8 bolts are tac welded in the top so if i want them out for camping or whatever i just have to zap 6 nuts off from down below with my electric impact gun.
