What year range 3/4 ton burban had the full float axle. I was thinking that they switch to the semi float on later models but I'm not sure. I'm trying to figure out what brake lines to order from LMC. I've got a 91 suburban with 14BFF from a 85 5/4 ton CUCV (which is the same as a 1 tome truck) LMC has no parts listed for 1 ton trucks but I'm sure they are the same if the axle is the same.

My 91 3/4 has a 4L80e with a 14bsf in it. Not sure if that's any help or if mine was standard.

I pulled my 14ff from an 86 burb. Not sure if it makes a difference but it was a 2WD with a 454/TH400

I guess that's it then. LMC only list brake lines for 2WD trucks but I don't see what the difference would be on a rear axle. thanks

well for sure, all the 3/4 burbs before 82 had the 14ff as the 14sf came out in 82/83 ish. Higher gvwr is what determined which axle was used after 1983.

3/4 ton burbs w/ a big block had the ff, got mine from an 86 2wd...Dave

Was it a 1 ton? For some reason the LMC catalog doesn't carry any 1 ton stuff. I ended up ordering the tube from classic tube. I found them in the back of a Peterson's mag.

The 14FF's came in 3/4 ton Burbs 73-91 but as mentioned earlier after the 14SF came around it was the GVWR that determined if the 14FF was installed.

NAPA should have these parts for you.

I have a 91 sub 3/4 ton 8600 gvw and it's got 14bsf. Not sure what "weight class" the ff shoulda been in but thought I had the one.

Could be mostly 2wd thing I guess but still why me?
