While driving through a small town with a friend to pay a ticket saw a K30 dually and started thinking lol. On the way back through stopped and asked if he was interested in selling it. He said yes he was moving and wanted something else. He said the motor (454) had a rebuild a few years ago, but was cold natured. He said he had to stay in the office but gave me the keys and sayed go check it out. Went out and pumped it a few times and she fired up. Has a little tick on the top end, sounds like a rocker arm to me just because its up top and its not a nock. Body has no rust and is straight except where the original mirrors were pulled off. Has potential but he said he wanted $2000 which is too much but he sounded like he might haggle. So what should I offer him?

around here a 454 running from a yard is $1000.... a front d60 that needs parts and could be a dully is about $800... so look at all the free parts you are getting...

I'd say buy it. That's what I paid for mine, and it is an '81. Worth it though IMO.

Much slower than my Blazer unfotunately. I did move it from one field to another awhile back, but that's about as far as it has gone. I got a D60 for the rear of my K5, and just ordered the ARB for it. Bought my wheels a month ago or so as well, so it's all just getting pieced together. Not much love for the K30 lately. I'm sure it'll be another 6 months before I can get anything done to it b/c of my $ situation with my new business. But I will certainly post something up when I actually manage to do something! Sorry for the hi-jack.
