Re: YES! Birthday = 4\" rough country lift

happy b-day, you ever look at that spring that was poppin? was it the center pin? or what?

Re: YES! Birthday = 4\" rough country lift

i honestly thing its the spring moving around in the front of the spring because there is no spring retaining thingy like there is on the rear springs, there is only 1 on the back of the front springs, not on the front and i notice they are sometimes in differnt positions, so i think they need replacein with 4" R\c springs /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. i can feel the thing in the floor when it pops sometimes, it comes and goes. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: YES! Birthday = 4\" rough country lift

Thanks Ya'll, it dont feel any differnt being 18, me and my dad are going to look at lifts in 2 weeks, as noted, i think im just gunna get the 4" R\C with rear blocks, i dont rock crawl with my truck, all i really use it for is crusieing, looking good, hill climbing, mudding, and sliding around in 2wd in the snow untill i get stuck in 2wd, then its time for 4HI. i think i will put some new brake lines on the front of it tho, use the bracket for the back, i dunno if i will buy SS brake lines or rubber, this truck is probly only gunna see 33's all its life, unless i get a scream'n deal on some 35's. but im gunna make it happen /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif.

Re: YES! Birthday = 4\" rough country lift

You will be much happier if you start with rear springs instead of blocks.....if you can afford it. You could also consider doing the Shackle flip.

Re: YES! Birthday = 4\" rough country lift

i just want it to sit level, i could care less about spring rate, or what ever. i just wanna sit high and level. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Re: YES! Birthday = 4\" rough country lift

yea here is an update on my lift situation i jus went outside to look at my rear springs, the drivers side is just barely touching the over load spring /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif, and the passenger side is ok i guess, but i guess this means i will have to buy new springs come lift time, and i hope that if i put springs on it wont upset my drivetrain angle. /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif.

Re: YES! Birthday = 4\" rough country lift

???? whether you use blocks or springs itll affect your driveline angle.........

Re: YES! Birthday = 4\" rough country lift

With just 4" you'll probably be ok. You might have to lower the t-case a bit.

Re: YES! Birthday = 4\" rough country lift

he wont need to lower tcase, Im thinking about Raising mine back up to where its suppose to be, Lowering the Tcase hurts front driveline angle.

Re: YES! Birthday = 4\" rough country lift

with the CV joint up front i wouldnt think it would hurt, my T-case is already lowerd with those stock spacer things. im doing springs because my rear springs are shited out. no good, for doing blocks that is. so im doing full springs, new brake hoses. so thats that folks. no going back.
