Yes or no....going to see a tranny/t-cas tranny is burned

The guys is asking $250 for a 700R4 and a 208 transfer, the transfer is ok according to the seller and the tranny is burned, obcourse im going to counter the price and offer $200 i could use that tranny since i got the th350 under my truck.

How can i check the transfer case, i can check the front out put yoke and see if theres any play on the bearing also any slop in the chain be ear, what else.

What do you guys think........

I guess 200 for a core and a common t/c doesn't seem like a good deal to me, but I don't live in CA either....

I gave $50 for a "core" 700R4 & 208 last year. Still have them too - wish you were closer as I don't need them anymore!

I sold a core that just the trans had medal in it form the torque converter going out for $50. But then again i just wanted it gone, and it was a buddy of mine.

I also think $250 is too much for that setup, and I am in CA.
If I knew you wanted something like that, I have a setup, the 208 is good, the 700 was running but I don't know how well, so consider it a core.
I would let that go for $200 and I should be in your neck of the woods soon, unless you are in a hurry.
