so,on top of my clutch issue, the mud killed my steering also. the belt was flipped after the mud run, so i loosened the pump, and flipped it back over. that didnt fix it, so i automatically thought my pump got water/mud in it and so i changed it. my steering pump extension cap has 5... 1/16" holes in it to breath (i no,a little over kill) so i figured something got in those holes. i just cycled the new pump with the truck running like 40 times with the tires off the ground. and still its hard to turn right but easier to turn left...im lost, any ideas? im thinking i should disconnect the ram lines, cycle the ram and get all the fluid and possibly crud out of it. then flush out my box/pump to do the same?....i f$cking hate mud so f$cking much, this is y i never go in it.

Kinda unlikely there is water in the system causing the problem. Water will work as hydraulic fluid too.
If its harder to turn in one direction than the other, then odds are the spool valve in the steering box has a problem.
Or the steering system is big time binding somewhere.

It is possible that some thing is stopped up in the lines, but that system develops a lot of pressure, and I would think it would blow out any normal obstruction.

You could uncouple the steering linkage and see if anything is binding by moving the wheels by hand.

Air in one side of the cylinder might cause that, but it should have worked out by now.

Ya,good idea,I think ill give that a go,ill try disconnecting different points of the steering to possibly isolate the issue...ugh I hate mud lol
