Anybody have experience with these tires?

I was looking around for a budget option for my K30, and found this ad on craigslist:
https://denver.craigslist.org/pts/d/brighton-set-of-5-chevy-8-lug-rims-and/7113724974.html

Seems like a match made in heaven unless these tires are complete garbage...

Also any chance it is the same bolt pattern as my truck? I figure the Burb had either 10 bolts or D44/12B right?

Thanks for any input, I appreciate you guys as always.

Seems to be a decent deal. Bolt pattern will see the same 8x6.5.
Buy them up.

I looked at a bunch of reviews and ratings on them and everything said they were great. I ended up a different direction because it was for my mom, but they were in my top three finals before she picked one.

No first hand experience though:dunno:

The Yokohama's i had were great, but they were 33. $900 new for the 5 + taxes. Good deal depending on age.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.

I gave the guy a ring to see if he would negotiate a little bit and he came down to $450 for the set. I probably won't beat that price without a lot of work so I am just gonna go for it.

It's a nice bonus that the wheels bolt right up as well.

I did some research on the Geolanders before I purchased them for the excursion trailer. I do not know if mine are the G015 as pictured in the CL add but I would not hesitate to run the Geolanders on an all-terrain application. And I have thought about running them on the K5 in the future due to the more aggressive tires wear quickly on the road....

I have Geolanders on my 4Runner, purchased new. They wear very well/slowly without all of the hard rubber compound hydroplaning that I’ve always found with Yokohama street tires. Only had them on for 2k miles or so but I’d buy them again.

off a 1990 suburban = bolt on your 87-down k30 .

price point even if few k miles on them = dam good

if you got tires the mount + balance job would be 75-100 bucks lots of places unless you found a deal .

and for now thats a darn solid win in my book . if they were closer i would snag them up so fast you wouldnt have a chance . and inn my years as a tire install guy yokohama was a good tire . i dont recall many problems .

Picked them up tonight and they look great:

The guy was super nice, he said he owns an automotive shop up in Brighton (north of Denver).

When we were loading the tires into my K5 he gave me a little advice... he said to:
  • Ditch the factory y-pipe on my K5's exhaust and buy a high flow cat
  • Put vortec heads on my K5's 350
  • Ditch the carb on my K30 and buy a Holley Sniper
It made me laugh because we talked for maybe 10 minutes total and he slipped in all of that stuff. He said if I did just the first thing I would gain about 40 horsepower. He seemed serious.

I want to do the first two things for sure, pretty torn on the last one. I kinda like having a carb on my pickup. Hopefully those are not famous last words.

So much to do, so little time!!!

Thanks to everyone who chimed in, I appreciate all of you!

factory Y-pipe yes . do a custom made with a builder Y-section for way better flow .
yes better cat than the old pancake you prob have . there restrictive as hell . i took one off a truck years ago and just that was CRAZY seat of the pants feel .
vortec heads yes good upgrade but require extra parts like intake and watch cam lift for there a bit limited on max lift before mods be done .

now the sniper ......... lets just say i had a bad trip with mine . do your research  there is better units with way better options . less false advertising . bigger screen . live/instant update of changes . better customer service .
