Does anyone have an opinion of this tire? I can get a 38/13.5/17 for $298ea. from Tire Rack and that's cheaper than any 37" tire I've found that is comparable. I can get it in a 37 load range "D", but it's only 17/32" and the 38 is 21/32" with a "C" load range.

i had those in a 30" on my jeep. they kicked in the rain, snow, sand and everyday stuff.
they werent the greatest in the mud, that could also have to do with tire size. i bet a 37" would have a bigger gap between the lugs.
they are the only tire that i have driven on around here that wont hyrdoplane.:waytogo:

Well, I just read that the sidewall is only two plies, don't like that for the rocks.

why not step up to the 40 for 11 dollars more, your crew would look nice with 40s :thumb:

Max. load capacity of the 40 is 1395 lbs., the 38 is 3000 lbs........and my wife and kids gripe about getting in it now with 35" tires. :doah:

had the 33" version on my old yota. i loved those tires, and would buy them again in a heartbeat!!

My reasoning exactly!:thumb:

I thought this tire was my little secret but you guys had to go let the cat out of the bag!:doah: FYI it clearly reads 3 ply sidewall and 3195lbs load rating on the sidewall of my 40x13.5r17"

COOL!!! I was just going off of what I read on their site. If it says 3ply on the tire then that's good enough for me! I guess they got their 3 and 1 swapped around. 1395-3195

I'd just like to vent how much its pissing me off that you cant get god damn tires in regular wheel sizes anymore. Everything is 18+ now. And whos retarded ****ing idea was it that selling less rubber for a bigger wheel should ****ing cost more.... :doah: WTF

So like I thought my XLs fell through... Any other place that sells these for a decent price? Tire rack has 40x13.5 r17s for $300 a tire. They seem to be last years model because it appears they only come in 18in wheels now, hence my rant...

I have a buddy that runs the 40s in Lava rock we have had no problems with the sidewalls yet.

They are on a Jeep with one tons and lockers he goes everywhere I go

Well theres only 3 in the 40x13.5r17 size in the entire country. Just got off the phone with yoko, tirerack, and my speedshop. Yoko said they are not discontinued but wont be in for a while because the size is only made in Japan and they dont have an ETA on the next deliver.
