Saw a couple at the yard the other day, I pulled the pulleys off to make sure they were 10ci and check that they had good compression. The yard wants $53.98 and I don't think they will charge extra for the vbelt pulley on there.

Anyone interested for say $65? I'm happy to go grab one if someone's serious but I didn't buy any because I couldn't afford to just sit on it.

Yes, interested. You think there is one in good shape?

Building an OBA system is probably cheaper than buying one. And, from what I've seen, those Yorks put out way more air than any electric system.

Do you think there is a flat rate box it'll fit in?

I'll get back to you guys later this week. I think I saw three in there last time. I can check compression by hand there in the yard but I'll have to take them home to check the 12v clutch (they won't let you bring a battery in with you). I'll check them out if they're still around and go from there.

Pretty sure it would fit in a large flat rate. Probably even a medium but I'm not sure if the box is deep enough. They're not as big as the A6s but they're more boxy. There's also a bunch of A6s in there, that's what I run on my truck.

If they have 3 I'll take one. I can send money order or do PayPal your choice.

Alright. You rock. Thanx!

If you have a cordless impact you could use that to check the clutch. Disconnect the battery from your cordless device and use the positive and negative tabs to check the clutch.

Something I learned recently, never crossed my mind before...why, idk, but it's very handy.

I have 1 Ford 210 left with a Rotolock head. There's no pulley, but it has a good electromagnet for the clutch and decent compression (I'm testing it with a drill on the crankshaft, I'm not able to seal it with my palm after more than a few seconds of turning).

$65 for the pump, comes out to $77 shipped to your door via a flat rate.

How much shipped to60102

I'm sorry,i just sold the last one this weekend.hadn't remembered to update this thread yet.

If I find any more,i will update this thread. Your thread subscription should notify you then.

I've been shipping them in flat rates so the price is the same as long a it's in the us.

Bump, for if you run across a couple more. Serp belt pref.

Thanks

My understanding is that they were all R12 compressors, and were all kind of before serpentine setups were common. I think you have to go to Kilby for a serp. Pulley because they have a goofy mounting setup.

I think that you can find a serp. pulley for the A6 pretty easily. That's the "log" compressor that came stock on the GM trucks in the 70s. Its actually 20% more displacement than the York 210 and has the same internal oil reservoir. I've been using an A6 on my truck for OBA for about a year now and I'm very happy with it. Especially considering its factory mounting. It doesn't spit out any more oil than the York's that my friends run. It is humungous though and it would be hard to mount if you had to do something custom because it can't be in front of the block (its super long).

Thanks, from what I understand about the Kilby's is that the mounting brackets are only for the SBC. Been searching and I think that I will need to make up a mounting bracket for whatever York will work. I think that I can get the pulley from them, as you stated though. I'm still trying to learn all of the in's and outs on this OBA stuff..lol

I'll keep reading and hopefully come up with something.
