sittin at my friends house bored, got us to thinking for once. he has a york compressor (long stroke), an ac motor that runs off of 110v, and an air compressor that the 2h burnt up on so it still has all the shutoff valves attatched. my qusetion is could the york handle the constant 2500 rpm that the motor turns?

york says that the ideal run rpm is between 1500 and 1800 at the shaft. if you can use a set of pulleys to reduce your compressor speed to that you should be okay. it won't hurt them to run faster, they just push hotter air out and need a shorter duty cycle.

cool thanks for the tip. we already had it ready to go just trying to check it out before we fried it.

thanks
