I need to find a pic of it but my favorite sub is one that was in Fourwheelr a few years back, it had Cummins TD 1 tons, and custom suspension and bumpers, it was a purpose built Burb just the way I like it for excursions.:D
I have the burb, we'll see if I ever get to something similar.

The grey 89-91 someone has with the hummer wheels.

I want a 91 wiht the 4l80e and a diesel though......late model diesel woudl be my dream.

My dream Burb would be a 73-78 with a D60, 14BFF, 5.13's, 44" DC Fun Countries, 12 Valve Cummins 6BT, 2wd NV4500, divorced 205, equal length front and rear driveshafts. Custom rect. tube frame, 56's up front 64's in the rear, as little lift as possible. It would be dark blue, no chrome. Hopefully when I get out of college I can make my dream a reality.

My dream burb would be a do everything rig. Tow, road trips, hunting trips, etc. I'd stuff a ram jet 502/4L80E/NP241 under it and of course 14FF/D60 combo with 4.88's and 37" BFG M/T on a 4" lift and some skillful trimming..... drooling just thinking about that combo

I am in the process of building my dream burb.

First finish the body mod i am in the process of doing.....

After that:

Narrow the front end
Winch
Bumper
39.5 or 42 inch IROKs
D60
Relocate Gas tank to the bed between the rear fenders
Four link the rear
52" front spring swap
SM564/203/205
Cut the doors down

And whatever else I want to do....

my dream burb is caged, shortened 8 to 12 inchs, with a bunk in rear and slide out tool/recovery stuff tray. snorkeled 6.2 torboed (have), recentered H1's (have), 465 or a cheap 4500, 205, 60/14. 8273 up front (have) 25,000lbs Pto winch rear (have). rock sliders wheel well to wheel well, and reat to the bumper, hydro assist, all electrics on 30 amp relays redundanties for almost every thing, batterys, fule pump inline on a bypass if primary fails. between 38 and 42's.

and i got a great idea on how to turn a winch bumper into a towrig for off road recovery

this is my dream burb. its off of car domain.

49'' tires
1 ton running gear
18" of lift
caddy 500 engine.<<< i would change for a cummins though.

I've been wondering what it would take (massive cut & weld) to put the drivers seat on top of the LF wheel, like an old VW bus; farther forward than the Chevy Van. Bucket seats in front, with seat two folding to allow 4x8 space. Maybe could be done to the same length as a Blazer. Pick & choose the drivetrain.
You haven't lived until you've driven trails sitting over the LF wheel.:D

I remember that first pic , the Canadian run in AZ . That guy has since done some more work to it ( narrowed front and drab paint ) . I will go fetch a pic .

These were almost a year ago now . First AZ run of fall/winter 2006/2007 :D

I want to build up my '66 to be my dream burb. Here's my plan:
-lower compression 502 or 540 to replace the tired 454. (or Cummins 12v)
-Dodge 3/4 ton Dana 60, or 14 bolt w/3.73s.
-upgrade the front 10 bolt to 8 lug & 3.73 posi
-steel 17" Dodge wheels
-freshen up the current SM420/Rockwell units
-restore the paint, body and interior to original (blue/white)
-upgrade the AC system

All it takes is money!

Add 4" lift, install Ranger OD, bump up tp 35's, add a auxillary 10 gallon saddle tank, maybe supercharge the 350, or preferably stuff a TBI 454. Get my winch and tow points, beef up the 10 bolts (this will never see hard enough wheelin to break these) and be on my way. I'm sure once all this is done, I'll want more. Gotta finish the wife's hot rod Burb before I get to spend more on mine.:D
