When you first got your IFS rig. What was the first modification you did to it??

Lift?

Tires?

Winch?

Tubing?

Other things?

^^^^

lol traded mine off for the 90 'burb...:pimp:

Put a short block in it with the wife for mothers day.

Second mod was had the tranny rebuild when the disc basket broke

For me..

it started out as a radio, then it was a muffler (flowmaster super 44), then a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit mounted, a tailgate net, new shocks, and cranked T-bars

going on my 4th axle now (installing a 14 bolt Full Floater over the 10 bolt)

How about a little off topic mods. What is done to the black Pete in your avatar? Maybe I'll start a new thread somewhere else.

That truck isnt mine, I have yet to have the priviledge to build my own Pete.

But it has has a 37" sleeper birth, 10" stacks, muffler delete, frame stretch, Chrome and polished stainless steel, No super single wheels (unfortunately), removed badging, I love the drop visor. Its not lowered though. Custom paint, some motor mods

I have been looking to find a Peterbilt 379 with a 505 cat, myself, Dont know if I want a sleeper or day cab though..I drive Feightshakers and Intertrashionals right now...Fiberglass junks, Not a fan of the new Volvo's either..

I also thought of possibly purchasing a Paystar 4WD 60k pound dump truck from my friends buddy

Brake pads and a new starter...

I'd love to lift mine but I wont until its paid for

I still have a payment on mine too, But ive been forced to modify it a few times do to axles breaking etc.

Exhaust was first then wife rearend another truck so it got a billet grill, denali style headlights, and clear turn signals and I could go on and on.

Basically they are brand new in the plastic, in the box. Never used or installed. They are polk 6500i system with everything from speakers, to tweeters to crossovers and wiring. I bought these to "mod" my ttuck but have no interest in puting them in.. they meed a better home.. i paid over $200 for the setup.

First mod was a K&N filter and some tunes.
First big mod was an IFS lift kit.

Worst mod was the IFS lift kit. The last mod I ever did was removing it and returning the truck to stock.

Best thing was selling it shortly after that.

I do but I don't.

Lots of great memories in that truck. Was a great truck too. Really the only thing that gave me bad troubles was the stupid ass torsion bar IFS front. Just a ****ty GM design.

However at 10 years and 10x,xxx miles it was starting to get problematic. My Tracker now at 10 years and 116,000 miles is in much better shape than that Blazer was at similar age. The Tracker isn't 100% but it's holding up a lot better.
