your idea about this blazer?

Maybe I'm just a cheap b@$+@rd but $7,000 seems high even in Canadian dollars eh

Looks nice. It looks like the tires are gonna rub when it is flexed out even a little. Cant see any thing other than that much hat jumps out at me

unless he can prove to you it is a 383, don't believe it. You need a build sheet or pictures to show it, otherwise unless you measure the stroke, you wont know. Looks nice but it would be up to you on price as I'm sure your area is different than mine

Ontario Canada is major rust belt, if it's pretty rust free I'm gonna say the price is near to market value for that location. We have less rust here, and the price isn't out of the range for here...assuming it's as nice as the pics seem to be.

My Blazer in BC was a $2000 ride tops. Here I could get double for it.

I think this blazer would get over $7000 easy here in MN, if it's truly as advertised. Make sure to look under the carpeting/floor covers if you can, you never know what kind of rust is being hidden there. Ask if the windshield is relatively new, too.. if it's not, plan on testing for water leaks!

Thanks guys,

Still waiting for the seller to reply his e-mail and return my call...This truck is for sale for few months now was 8500$ CAN before left e-mail and call never returned my messages, then the truck came back at 7000$..!!! Call it weird..! Called him , sent him again messages finally returned my call and since never returns my call to view the truck..!!! Anyway.. not looking good and comfident by any meaning! As per pricing it seems those older trucks, same with jeep CJ7 etc.. Are on the rise, never seen a very nice K5 in Canada or US for under at least 7000$ unless rusted, beaten up etc.. Any links to great deals those days?

Thanks!

The seller is a liar. It does not have 85,000 true miles on the odometer. If it did, it would be a lot nicer. It more likely has 185k to 285k miles on it, so you can bet he is probably hiding other problems.

Did you read the buyers guide? If you do, you can save a lot of headache.

I'd lift those carpets and see what is underneath, especially as seeing the rust on the seat brackets. I would also hope that undercoating wasn't put over a rusty frame. Have a shop check the alignment, and see if that lift it was installed properly.

Maybe, it looks in pretty decent shape, I've seen many an 85,000 mile car look a lot worse. In some areas, age takes just as much of a toll on mileage. I'd try to pull that report. They usually list registration and sale history. That may give you some indication of the true mileage, and often times if the odometer has exceeded it's mechanical limits that will appear on the title, though it's not ironclad evidence by any means, since it has to be reported.

Undercoating is often used to conceal problems, and if improperly applied can trap water, making a rust problem worse. As others have said, get the build sheet or receipts. I do my own work, but I keep all the receipts so if I ever do sell it so at least I can prove what I bought. For that kind of money it pays to be thorough.

Thanks guys

Anyway after several attempts to call the seller and nothing, I'll pass, some things need to make sense sometimes..!

That one looks significantly better, however there is a lack of photos to make any more assumptions.

Again, the mileage is not likely to be true, as the 5-digit odometers won't record more than 100k miles. Pull a VIN report. That is one of the reasons why I only buy 1990-1991 K5's, as they have 6 digit odometers which really helps the decision making process. :)

And that is roughly $11,000 USD, which is WAY overpriced. My truck looks nearly identical, and I only paid $5k USD.

Thanks, yes I saw this one but 3 things holding me back, The lift as I'm looking for a max of 4', the mileage original motor and tranny, and finally the price still 9000$! For the white one it's a 350 motor, I can ask still the seller to prove the original 40000 miles..! And see his answer. He also told me the price was a little bit negotiable.

I'd wait it out. It took me two years to find my K5, but it was a perfect match to what I wanted. Not lifted, all original, white and tan, not abused, etc., and it was the right price.

Can you buy one from the states, or farther away in Canada, and have it shipped to you? It only cost me $1k USD to have my truck shipped from CA to VA. Even if you had to pay import fees, it might be less, and you would have a lot more trucks to pick from.

OK,got the answer about those 40000 miles..reality is 143000 miles..Pass on this one as well.. Checked Craiglist , saw some real nice ones, but is there any way to check all the country instead of going city by city?? Takes forever...! Looking more for a very nice black K5 , 454, 4 to 5" lift.

Thanks guys!

If you have a smart phone or tablet, you can download one of the Craigslist apps and set it to search which ever cities you want. Nothin' to it.
